The Muslim Congress (TMC), Oyo State Chapter has organised free medical service for the people of Iseyin as part of the three-day Outreach Programme to commemorate the World Day for Safety.
Part of the activities of the programme were a safety trek across Iseyin, community service, Mass reorientation for nation building and spiritual rejuvenation between Friday, 16th and Sunday, 18th September, 2022.
The leadership of the organisation led by the state coordinator, Alh. Engr. Daud Oladosu also paid courtesy visit to important personalities including the Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul Hakeem Olajori of Iseyin and other dignitaries in the town.
While addressing the beneficiaries of the health outreach, the State Coordinator, Alhaji (Engr.) Daud Oladosu urged the general public in Oyo State and its environs to maintain safety in all their activities. In this way, we are all supporting the effort of the United Nations in global peace advocacy towards a habitateble environment in line with vision 2020 of the SDGs.
The Coordinator enjoined the Muslims in Iseyin that it is essential to maintain physical fitness, personal hygiene and frequent medical checkup to prevent illness.
The coordinator discouraged quackery and self medication in the personal health management.
Among other dignitaries visited were Dr. AbdulFatai Shittu and Alhaji Luqman Olajide, a popular Islamic scholar. During the courtesy visit, the Chief Imam of Iseyin applauded The Muslim Congress on different activities focusing on reformation of Muslims and all members of the society. The Chief Imam affirmed that the impact of TMC is well felt in the society.
