The ‘The School for Ignored Skills’ (TheSIS) will on Saturday, December 20, 2025, hold She Leads Aloud, a one-day leadership programme aimed at empowering young women selected across Oyo town with the skills, confidence and voice to lead in their communities. The event will take place at the Oyo Tech Hub, Idi-Ope, Oyo, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
According to TheSIS, the programme is designed as an immersive learning experience combining leadership fundamentals, storytelling for influence, emotional intelligence, communication training, and hands-on project simulations. The initiative targets girls between the ages of 15 and 30 — especially those from underserved backgrounds, who often have limited access to leadership-focused training.
The 2025 edition will feature an impressive line-up of speakers drawn from across Nigeria’s social impact and technology ecosystem. Confirmed speakers include Kadwama Lazarus, Co-founder of North East Women in Tech; Asmau Abdullahi, Founder of Slum Tech; and Abass Abiola Abdul-Azeez, Lead Facilitator at TheSIS. Each will bring personal insight and real-life experience, helping participants challenge stereotypes, amplify their voices, and build leadership grounded in authenticity and purpose.
“We believe the young girls of Oyo have enormous potential,” said Oluwaseun Ojo, TheSIS Programme Lead, “and She Leads Aloud offers them a platform to discover their voice, build confidence, and step into leadership.”
This year’s programme is supported by S.A. Adewole Communications, in line with its commitment to youth development and community-driven initiatives.
