The former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has said his party will win the September 19 governorship election in Edo state.
He said this after a closed door session with the president in Aso Rock, Abuja today.
This is the first engagement between Mr Oshiomhole and PMB since his removal as the national chairman on June 25th, 2020. And it centred around the ongoing electioneering in Edo state.
Mr Oshiomhole re-established his loyalty for the president Muhammad Buhari-led government.
” I’m a loyal member of APC. I will always do anything I can to support the growth and development of the party, and of course, my absolute loyalty to PMB and the party he leads”.
On the governorship election in Edo state, former chairman said, ” the campaigns are going on well and massive support is huge. From my evaluation, I’m confident that APC will win the election hands down. There is no doubt about that. This is because, Edo is basically APC state”.
He however added Mr President has stated that any acts of lawlessness before, during and after the election will not be condoned.
