Governor Godwin Obaseki has received certificate of return today at the INEC office in Edo, Benin. He therefore pledged his resolve to continue to serve Edo people in a bid to deepen developmental projects.

The highly elated governor said on his Twitter handle, ” I received my certificate of return today from @inecnigeria after the landmark victory in Saturday’s election. I restate my commitment to Edo people, to deepen sustainable devt and consolidate on our sterling legacies”.

News Live Nigeria recalls that Obaseki, in the September 19 gubernatorial election, scored 307, 955 votes to defeat Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress(APC) who polled 223,619 votes.

INEC’s National Commissioner supervising Edo, Rivers and Bayelsa States, Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu presented Certificates of Return to winners of the Edo State Governorship election, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his running mate, Mr. Philip Shaibu at INEC’s Office, Benin today.
