Hamas and other Palestinian resistance factions have announced that a landmark agreement has been reached following intensive negotiations over US President Donald Trump’s proposal in Sharm el-Sheikh.
The deal aims to end hostilities in Gaza, secure the withdrawal of ‘Israeli’ forces, allow humanitarian aid into the Strip, and facilitate the exchange of prisoners.
In a statement, Hamas expressed deep appreciation for the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, and acknowledged President Trump’s efforts to achieve a permanent end to the war and a full ‘Israeli’ withdrawal from Gaza.
The movement urged President Trump, the guarantor states, and other Arab, Islamic, and international parties to ensure that Israel fully implements the agreement without delay or obstruction.
Hamas also praised the Palestinian people in Gaza, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the diaspora for their steadfastness, courage, and dedication in facing Israeli Occupation schemes. The statement emphasized that these efforts have successfully thwarted plans for subjugation and displacement.
Reaffirming its commitment to national rights, Hamas pledged that the sacrifices of the Palestinian people will not be in vain and vowed to continue the struggle until freedom, independence, and self-determination are fully achieved.
