HAVE YOU HEARD: Peter Obi joins 2023 presidential race

As the cue for the next president becomes crowded, former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has declared his intention to vie for the presidential seat in the 2023 presidential election.

Speaking with royal fathers and Presidents-General of the 181 communities in Anambra state at Government House, Awka, Mr Peter Obi made this declaration.

According to the running mate of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 elections, he needed the support of the elders to run for the office in the coming election.

News Live Nigeria understands that Peter Obi will officially declare his presidential ambition tomorrow, Friday.

The former governor disclosed that he would be contesting owing totally to popular demand and adequate consultation.

“The reason I called you, therefore, is to officially inform you that I am aspiring for the president of Nigeria in 2023″, he audaciously said.

He furthered that he was motivated to run following the utter division staring at the nation under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

He sounded equipped with the tool and weaponry to attract foreign investment to Nigeria.

He said among other promises “The Nigeria I will lead will create jobs, boost our economy, improve education. If I have the opportunity, I will turn around the country for the better”.

“I will move Nigeria from a consuming nation to a productive nation. As a Nigerian, I want all parts of the country to be secured. I’m not aspiring for a political position, but to serve the country”, he added.
