Oyo govt extends third term, 2021 Academic Session by a week

Oyo state government has extended third term 2020/2021 academic session for Primary Schools in the state by one week.

The extension was contained in a circular dated July 26, 2021 signed by Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs A.B Atere tagged as “EXTENSION OF THIRD TERM 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION BY ONE WEEK FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN OYO STATE.

“The extension was necessitated by the need to allow more time; to end the term smoothly”.

The circular reads:

” I wish to refer to the above and support the request of the board(SUBEB) for an extension of one week for the current third term 2020/2021 academic session. The request was necessitated by the need to allow more time; to end the term smoothly. Please note that the third term 2020/2021 Academic Session will now come to an end on Friday 6th August 2021. Kindly give this circular the widest coverage its deserves. Thank you”.

 

It would be recalled that current third term 2020/2021 academic session for Primary Schools in Oyo state was initially scheduled to end on July 30th, 2021.
