You are less-busy and forget to say ” Ahuthubillah minaShaetani rajim” before you eat, drink, wash, enter a room or exit it!
If you don’t know Satan is ever-busy with mankind! He walks, drinks, eats and sometimes, partners man in having sexual intercourse with man’s wife!.
This is not an alarmist write-up. Rather, it is one of the truths of this realms that Satan and his students(cronies) partner man in whatever he does. This informs why Allah commands Muslims to seek refuge in Him against Satan; the accursed even when Qur’an is to be read. He says:
“When you are about to read the Quran, seek refuge with God from Satan, the accursed”!
In another instance, He declares Satan as man’s avow enemy when He says :” Oh you children of Adam, worship not Satan; for he is an avow and glaring enemy to you”. This is so because, it was him that derailed man’s forebear Adam(alehi salam), and caused his expulsion from Paradise where he and wife were dwelling before he(satan) misled them! The Qur’an has this to say on that:
” O ye Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you, in the same manner as He got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose them of their shame: for he and his tribe see you from a position where you cannot see them: We made the Satans friends only to those without faith.” Q 7 Vs 27
Satan And His Tribe See You From A Position You Cannot See Them
Satan and his tribe, the Jinns, are created from fire. The glorious Qur’an describes their formation as follows:
” And Jinn race, We had created before( before the creation of man (Adam)), from the fire of a scorching wind!” Q 15 Vs 27.
For being made from the fire of a scorching wind, Jinn can assume other creatures’ forms! That is the reason, they can possess snake, dog, bird and man! Allama Qurtubiyy has noted in his explanation of Q 7 Vs 27 ,that ” the Jinn can only see man, when they are transformed out of their nature and transpose into other creatures’ natures”.
The examples of how they can assume the natures of other creatures or possess other creatures abound in the authentic tradition of the prophet salla-llahu alehi wasalam. For instance, it is reported by Imam Bukhari, in his authentic collection of hadith book, from Abu-Hurrairah ( may the good lord be pleased with him) , that the prophet made me ( Abu-Hurrairah) as an overseer of the grains of Ramadan zakatul-fitri, and an old man was caught stealing part of the grains claiming his households were hungering!
In the first night, Abu-Hurrairah caught him, for his above claim , he was pardoned and set free without reporting him to the prophet salla-llahu alehi wasalam. And when Abu-Hurrairah saw the prophet the second day, without informing the prophet, the prophet had been informed by the Almighty prior to Abu-Hurrairah’s arrival, and the prophet asked Abu-Hurrairah knowingly :” what have you done to your captive yesterday’s night?” . Abu-Hurrairah now informed the prophet salla-llahu alehi wasalam, of what had transpired between him and the old man and his aforementioned claim which predisposed him to stealing!
The prophet salla-llahu alehi wasalam, having being informed of what the old man would do again, told Abu-Hurrairah that the man would still return and steal the Ramadan’s grains! And true to the prophet’s words , he had returned while Abu-Hurrairah still caught him and he still offered the previous excuse that his households were hungering and that he was poor!” Abu-Hurrairah yet allowed him to go !
In the morning of the second day, the prophet salla-llahu alehi wasalam, repeated his question to Abu-Hurrairah that :” what had you done to your captive yesterday’s night?”. Abu-Hurrairah narrated the goings between him and the old man and his normal claim that he was a poor man while his households were suffering the pangs of hunger!
Now, the prophet salla-llahu alehi wasalam, told Abu-Hurrairah that the old man was the Satan and that he would still return to steal the third time! In the night of the third day, the old man returned as usual, stole the grains and was caught by Abu-Hurrairah as the previous nights! But Abu-Hurrairah insisted that he would drag the man to the prophet, this time around, no matter his beggary!
When the old man; ( the Satan that had assumed the nature and physical appearance of an old man), saw that Abu-hurrairah would not bulge in his adamance to drag him to the prophet salla-llahu alehi wasalam, he offered to teach Abu-Hurrairah one potent statement and verse of the glorious Qur’an, that whenever Abu-Hurrairah may want to read it, Allah would surely protect and safeguard him from all evils !
And the old man( Satan) taught Abu-Hurrairah the verse of the throne ( Kursiyyu) and instructed him to read it every night as well for his safety and that of his households!
When the prophet asked Abu-Hurrairah in the morning after the third encounter with the old man: ‘What had you done to your captive yesterday’s night?”. Abu-Hurrairah told the prophet what had happened between both and how he had insisted that he would drag the old man to the prophet salla-llahu alehi wasalam, the old man had offered to teach him a potent verse which is an antidote against every evil, and how he had finally taught him the verse of the throne and how he had allowed him to go!
The prophet salla-llahu alehi wasalam, then confirmed the potency of the verse the Satan had offered Abu-Hurrairah despite the fact that the Satan was a liar in this manner :” What the Satan had offered you was real and powerful despite the nature of Satan as a lying lots!.
The prophet has also warned the mankind from following Satan ‘s path and that Satan does walk in man as blood walks in man’s vein!
Satan Walks In Man As Blood Walks In His Vein
This is also a reality and it has come to confirm the evil character which emanates from some people every now and then, and why many animals are so ruthless in their dealings with others! For when they get possessed by the Satan or one of his tribes , they are bond to behave exactly as the Jinn that have possessed them or exactly how they are being commanded by their possessors!
And Alas! From the time the Satan had been expelled from the Garden for his disobedience to His command to pay obeisance to Adam, the father of man, he had prayed to Allah to give him respite till the day of resurrection and Allah Had given him!
And from that day, the Satan had vowed to put man in the wrong, only the chosen servants among them will he not have power over. In the words of the Qur’an , this is captured as follows :
” Iblis said : ” O my Lord!
Give me then respite till the Day the dead are raised.”
Allah said : ” Respite is granted to you
Till the Day the dead of the time appointed”
” Iblis said: ”O my Lord!
Because you have put me in the wrong, I will make wrong to them on the earth and I will put them all in the wrong except your chosen servants among them.
In the final analysis, some women and men are said to have Aya Orun or Oko orun(Heavenly husband and wife) who disturb their earthly husband and wife. This may be as a result of two things and not as some Babalawo, Alfa and pastor are painting it:
1. It may be as a result of a kafir Qarin( unbeliever partners) which are created with some men or women among the Jinn
2. Or as a result of human- being’s carelessness which allows bad Jinn(alujannu) to enter and dwell in him.
As for the Qarin, we have good and bad ones such as believers Qarin and Kafir Qarin.
The precedence of Qarin notion is alluded to in the Hadith when Aisha was angry with the prophet and after the prophet had settled the rancour with her, she persisted in her anger!
The prophet (saw) then asked her:” Awamahaka Shaetanuki” Is your Shaetanu( Qarin) with you? Then Aisha asked back:” Awalaka Shaetani” Do you have a Qarin yourself Oh the prophet?. To which the prophet said yes; for every being there is a Qarin but Allah Has subdued my own for me!
The only solution to Satan’s domineering is constant remembrance of Allah such as:
1. Saying Ahuthu billahi minasaetani rajim with Bismillah rahman ar- rahim at the beginning of every task you are to embark upon.
2. Praying Sallat( the five canonical prayers every day at their alloted times)
3.Saying Subhanallahi, walhamdulillah, walailahailla llahu, allahu akbar or any of the prescribed words in the Quran and sunnan for God’s remembrance!
4.Recitation of the Quran.
5.Good behaviour and alms giving.
Friends and Foes there, remember that Satan is ever-busy while you are less-busy !
