Who to the terror of grilling would not
faint? Ode to the man who sleeps while
his trouble waits.

A question, & confusions on the curve of
his lips. Guilt trips anger, thick & heavy,
hanging in the air like sluts & slugs. Tell
him that the lands he tours have eyes.
Their fauna & flora bankroll the living.
Even the so-called “stupid” journalist
knows; a desperate “fawning” politician
is a puppet always on a payroll.
