We must secure Nigerians, President Buhari

President Muhamadu Buhari has reiterated his commitment towards fighting criminals in the country, saying that he will continue to support the security personnel for them to jointly defeat every security threat.

The president made this pledge yesterday via his official Twitter handle after rounding off a closed-door meeting with all the governors of the thirty-six states in the country.

The President believed that his administration had invested heavily in weapons and military equipment which he would not stop to make available so that he would secure the country he presides over.

“They have already received armoured cars and other equipment, and aircraft and more will come in,” His Excellency enlisted.

He did assure to give the security network of the country the needed support to fight insurrection and every security threat so that the most populous African country would be free from evil perpetration and gruesome killing.

President Buhari maintained that Intelligence-gathering is very critical to ensuring lasting security in Nigeria, therefore, every Nigerian is to be prepared to play a significant role.

The Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) also called on governors, traditional rulers, community leaders, and the wholesome of Nigerian citizens to get prepared to work massively in the collective work of making Nigeria free of insecurity.

President Buhari at the same time charged the entirety of the polity to work to boost intelligence-gathering in the country.

News Live Nigeria understands that President Muhamadu Buhari will appear before the Federal House of Representatives on Thursday to give an account of what the executive is doing to quench the spate of insecurity that has multiplied in the past few weeks.
