Eid-El-Fitri: EACOED provost, Rasak Adefabi, felicitates Muslims

Charges Muslims to remain prayerful

The Provost, Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, Dr. Rasak A. Adefabi has felicitated Muslim faithfuls and members of the College community on the successful completion of the 1442 AH Ramadan fast.

In a release made available by ‘Wale Adeoye, Special Assistant on Media Matters to the Provost quoting the College Chief Executive Officer, “Eid-el-fitri festival is highly symbolic to Muslim faithfuls. I congratulate all Muslims for the grace we all enjoyed during the fast.

We thank Almighty Allah who has made it possible for us to complete the 2021 fasting and prayed Allah accepts all our acts of worship and supplications during and after the glorious month as acts of ibadah. As we celebrate, we must not forget the importance and lessons of Ramadan. Let’s continue to uphold the teachings and virtues of the holy month while carrying over the lessons in our ways of life. I implore Muslims and non-Muslims in the College to take advantage of the Eid-el-Fitri celebration to offer special prayers for the peace, progress and development of our dear College, Oyo State and the country as a whole”.

Speaking further, the Provost urged Islamic faithfuls to use the occasion of Eid-el-fitri celebration to further pray against the COVID19 Pandemic which continues to wreck its havoc over the entire world. He charged members of the College community to join in curtailing its spread while adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols and precautions as they pray to Almighty Allah during the Eid-el-fitri.

The College helmsman while wishing the Muslim Ummah a peaceful Eid-el-fitri celebration, filled with the blessings and benevolence of Almighty Allah further admonished the entire Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo family to use the occasion of this year celebration to re-dedicate and re- engineer themselves to chatting the path of progress for the College and equally reciprocate the good gesture of the Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde- led- administration in the state as ‘one good turn deserves another.’ A ku odun o.
