A man in his 80s, Talubi Arije, has been caught while trying to escape with he-goat at Taawunu crescent, Daarul Hijirah, Iwo.

The man, according to the report, was employed by one of the residents of the area, known as Oloba to clear weeds off his surroundings. Unknowingly to him, Arije has killed one of his he-goats, packed in his sack to take away for enjoyment.

When asked how the goat was killed, he said he hit its head with a very strong iron. He is now in the custody of Jayshu Islamy to be taken to the police station.

Murtado Alasi, the deputy head of the security wing of Taawun organization has warned whoever with such ill minds to steer clear of Taawunu Area.

He promised that they would continue to ensure the safety of lives and property of all residents in the area.
