Akwa United football club of Uyo have won the 2020/2021 Nigerian Professional Football League.

This was confirmed via the official Facebook page of the League Management Company.

The club emerged winner of the league after playing 37 games, acruing 71points in the process.

Akwa United have won the 2020-21 Nigeria Professional Football League title after they defeated MFM FC 5-2.

Nasarawa United, Eyimba Fc and Kano Pillars finishes 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions with 62pts, 62pts and 61 points respectively from 36 games.

The League management company, however, stated that, FC Ifeanyin Uba and Adamawa United have been relegated from the league. The relegated clubs finished with 36points and 25points respectively
